Co-founder & Chief Executive Officer
Edward Croft is co-founder and CEO of Stockopedia.com. He previously worked as a wealth manager at Goldman Sachs and for a family office before founding Stockopedia. Ed is an Oxford Scholar, Chartered Financial Analyst and Zend-Certified PHP Engineer. Ed has been a keynote speaker at the UK's biggest investment conferences for many years & is a regular columnist and commentator on stock markets. He is the author of several investing books and blogs regularly on social media. He lives in Oxfordshire with his wife & three children.
Co-founder & Non-Executive Director
David co-founded Stockopedia.com and was the group’s COO for four years before heading back into private equity as a partner at Oakley Capital. Today he is a valued Non-Executive Director with over twenty years of principal investing, M&A, and operational experience, including stints in New York (Credit Suisse), London (Credit Suisse, Morgan Stanley, Candover) and Singapore (where he earned an MBA with Distinction from INSEAD). Dave lives between London & Cannes with his wife and two children.
Chairman
Simon Stevens is the Chairman of Stockopedia and brings a wealth of experience to the cause. Formerly the Head of Investment Trust business at Invesco Asset Management, he became the seed investor in the Investment Trust data business Fundamental Data which sold to Morningstar in 2008. He was previously Chief Executive of STAR Reefers UK Ltd and serves as a Director at a number of other companies. Simon has also held Director and Non-Executive Director positions at The Throgmorton Trust plc, Invesco Blue Chip Trust plc, and Invesco Recovery Trust plc.
Marek led over 30 deals with an aggregate value of over £8bn during a 25 year run at private equity firm Candover. He has operated in a variety of sectors including insurance and financial services, energy, leisure, support services and industrials and it is this breadth, alongside his knowledge of private enterprise and funding, which makes his input invaluable to the Stockopedia team. Marek is now an active investor in growth companies at 24 Haymarket.
Oliver Pawle is the Chairman of Korn Ferry Board Services Practice and has advised on board recruitment and leadership development for companies including GSK, the Prudential, and the Bank of England. Prior to that, Oliver was Vice Chairman of the investment banking division of UBS for 10 years after successful stints at PwC and investment bank Barings. His interests include golf, politics, theatre and racehorse breeding.
Jonathan is a partner of First Avenue Partners LLP, where he has been Co-Chairman since September 2013. He also serves as Vice Chairman of Credit Suisse First Boston. Previously, Jonathan served as the CEO of Barclays’ global equities business, was Non-Executive Chairman of the Board at IG Group and was a Senior Independent Director at Persimmon. Jonathan is a Qualified Chartered Accountant from The Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales.
