STV Group plc is a United Kingdom-based digital media company. The principal activities of the Company are the production and broadcasting of television programs, the provision of Internet services, and the sale of advertising airtime and space in these media. The Company's segments are Broadcast, Digital and Studios. The Broadcast segment runs free-to-air commercial Public Service Broadcaster, STV, which operates the Channel 3 licenses across central and north Scotland. The Digital segment provides the broadcaster's streaming service, STV Player, which gives viewers in Scotland the opportunity to watch STV shows on their terms, live or on demand. Across the UK, STV Player offers viewers an extensive catalogue of content from the UK and around the world. STV Studios is its content business and production company, comprising 24 creative labels producing content for a range of UK and international broadcast networks and streamers.
